If you go to Melaka, don’t forget to visit the Taman Mini Malaysia & Mini ASEAN that is located at Ayer Keroh, Melaka. This is one of the places in Malaysia that show the culture and life of the Malaysian people and other ASEAN countries. Inside this place, there are many replicas of different types of traditional houses from the thirteen states of Malaysia and also including other ASEAN countries. The examples of traditional houses that are show inside this place are Minang Kabau traditional house from Negeri Sembilan, Bidayuh house, Iban house and other traditional houses from all state in Malaysia. And inside each houses there also have a few handicrafts and traditional costumes of people in Malaysia. If you visit this place on the weekend, you may be able get to see the cultural dance and other interesting activities. Other interesting attraction that you can get in there is the hanging bridge and old British house. The place is open every day from 9.00am to 6.00pm with entrance fee of RM5 for the adult and RM3 for children. I have visited this placed once and the place has a very beautiful view and refreshing environment with lake and trees.
